PhD Admissions
Admissions to the doctoral programme are held twice a year — Odd Semester (July) and Even Semester (January).
Eligibility
- · Master's degree (M.Tech / M.E. / M.S. / MSc / equivalent) in a relevant discipline with ≥ 60% (6.5 CGPA).
- · Valid score in GATE / NET / JRF / equivalent national qualifying examination.
- · Direct PhD pathway available for exceptional B.Tech candidates — see notification.
Categories
- · Institute Fellowship — full-time, MoE fellowship (₹37k–₹42k / month).
- · External Fellowship — CSIR / UGC / DST INSPIRE / etc.
- · Project-Linked — funded from sponsored research project.
- · Self-Financed Part-Time / Sponsored — for working professionals and deputed candidates.
Selection
Shortlisting based on application form, qualifying score and academic record. Shortlisted candidates appear for a discipline-wise written test followed by an interview by the departmental committee. Final selection is on the basis of the combined performance.
