A message from the Director

It is with a deep sense of responsibility — and equal optimism — that I welcome you to the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune. A young Institute of National Importance, IIITP is shaped by an ambitious mandate: to prepare engineers and researchers who can both lead and leverage technology in service of the nation.

The next decade will reward institutions that combine academic rigour with genuine industry alignment. IIITP is uniquely placed to do this. Our Public–Private Partnership model brings together the support of the Government of India, the Government of Maharashtra and committed industry partners, while our mentorship from COEP Technological University anchors us in the highest academic traditions.

We are not merely teaching students to use today's tools. We are teaching them to build tomorrow's.

On our 100-acre Maval campus, we have built an environment in which small cohorts, accessible faculty and a deeply residential culture allow ideas to mature. Our laboratories — in AI, VLSI, embedded systems, networks and applied data science — are designed for hands-on, project-led learning. Our placement and research partnerships span the world's leading technology, semiconductor and financial-services companies.
